My hope for this blog is to lift up the reader with a brief idea or a funny story.
This year I’m embarrassed to admit that I’m just now learning about connection, vulnerability, yoga, meditation, empathy, intention, shame and resilience. This is the year I’ve sought out simple ideas that inspire and challenge me. These specks of knowledge have helped me shine light on my ugly so I can grow and show up more for my loved ones. Shining light on the ugly is the antidote to feeling shameful about imperfections.
I want to be a person who is open to criticism because I’m just that confident. I want to say “how can I learn from this?” Instead of “I wasn’t wrong because…” or “Poor me. This happened to me. End of story.”
In each post, I will humbly share what I’m learning on this path and would LOVE to hear from others about their own findings.
I live in Portland, Oregon with my family and our black Lab Lee.
